Post Frame Building
Post-frame construction (or pole barns) is a highly efficient building method that Burress Construction is qualified to perform.
Definition: It involves using large wooden posts set into the ground or attached to a concrete foundation to form the main structural support, eliminating the need for a traditional stud wall framing system.
Benefits: This method allows for wider clear-spans (large open interior spaces without load-bearing walls), making it ideal for the “shop” portion of a Shophouse, large garages, agricultural buildings, and workshops.
Shop House Building (Barndominiums)
The term Shophouse is often used interchangeably with Barndominium and is a type of custom construction that Burress Construction provides.
Project Type: A Shophouse combines a large metal or wood-frame shop (often post-frame construction) with a custom-built residential area under the same roof.
Customization: As a general and custom home builder, Burress Construction handles both the shell construction of the shop and the customized finishes and floor plans for the living quarters.
